Prenatal Yoga Support classes are held at: 2210 Encinitas Blvd, Suite U, Encinitas, CA – Located in the Rincon Plaza – 3 miles east of I-5 on Encinitas Blvd.

Pregnant mom yoga poseIyengar Yoga is widely recognized as a therapeutic style of yoga in the healing community, which doctors now recommend to their patients.  Iyengar yoga is appropriate for all stages of a woman’s life.  During pregnancy, your prenatal yoga practice is specifically designed for you based on pregnancy trimester and your level of experience in yoga. Regular practice of  Iyengar Yoga integrates the body, mind and emotions.

Restorative Poses for Prenatal Yoga

Although regular Iyengar classes may be too strenuous during pregnancy, most Restorative poses are safe and appropriate for moms-to-be. Props are used to help the mom-to-be balance the body, de-stress from the strain of carrying the baby, breathe easy and relax. Blankets, chairs, belts, and ropes helps the pregnant yoga practitioner to achieve perfection in any pose. We provide all props, blankets, straps and even mats, but feel free to bring your own. You will not only have a relaxing break during the week, but you will learn how to take your yoga poses home with you.

At this time, we are inviting our moms-to-be to join our ongoing Restorative class on Friday evenings from 6:00pm to 7:15pm. This is a small class with individualized instruction for every participant. The class rates are the same as our other classes: $20 to drop in or a 4 class-series for $65 (20% off.)
